About us

Horto-Florícola do Santo Antão / Rosas da Batalha is a company with over 30 years of experience in the production of flowers and ornamental plants, recognised as a benchmark in the sector for the quality, innovation and diversity of its offering.

Specialising in garden roses, it holds one of the most extensive collections in the Iberian market. Its main strength lies in exclusive partnerships with renowned rose breeders of new varieties, such as Pheno Geno Roses (Netherlands) and Harkness Europe (United Kingdom), enabling the company to bring to market innovative and highly ornamental varieties with strong differentiation.

The portfolio includes a wide range of rose plants carefully selected for their fragrance, colour intensity and originality, with particular emphasis on bicolour varieties and distinctive shades. Each season, new varieties are introduced to refresh and enhance the range, ensuring unique products of outstanding quality.

On the production side, the company operates 3.5 hectares of modern greenhouses specifically designed for potted plant cultivation, serving both the domestic market and export operations. It is at the forefront of substrate cultivation systems, the implementation of biological control as an alternative to pesticides, the optimisation of greenhouse climate management, and the anticipation of trends within the flowers and ornamental plants market.

The combination of tradition, technological innovation and rigorous production standards results in consistent quality and a broad assortment of varieties, inviting clients and partners to discover the work developed first hand.
